My name is Elissa Wurf.  I am a CPA, and I also have a Ph.D. in social psychology. I taught at the college level for many years and conducted research focusing on social cognition and decision-making, and specifically on self-improvement and self-defeating behavior.  I first began integrating my interests in psychology and personal finance by teaching a class called “The Psychology of Money & Happiness.”  I’ve started this blog to continue to think about and develop my ideas.
